Abandoned Lab
Four strangers are mysteriously knocked out while each of them were traveling through a forest hoping to find a town. When they wake up they are in a prison that is old and slightly flooded with no signs of activity for a long time. They look around and all they see is dried corpses in chains but one set of chains are broken with moss covering them.. The four strangers become acquainted with each other but still very wary nonetheless.
They all introduce themselves-
- Lucifer, an experienced adventurer who is clad in armor with an war hammer having eyes that host a mysterious darkness when observed
- Oscar, a scholar of the arcane arts which appears to be an elf with red hair
- Stitches, a teddy bear came to life which has homicidal tendencies and strangely talks to himself from time to time.
- Cain, a holy warrior with an unknown quest from the gods as well as a just cause to help all who are being subject to unjust treatment.
After calming down and figuring out their circumstances they decide to break out which Lucifer easily does by breaking down the rusty gate with his war hammer. The party decides to stick together at least until they escape this dungeon. Now that the party is free to observe their surroundings they appear to be in an abandoned lab which seems to have been abandoned for some time. The party look in the room that is across from the prison and when looked inside they see blood and chunks of flesh on surgical tables and surgical tools with dried blood on them. Lucifer manages to find some potion of healing on the tables which will certainly be useful helping their escape.
While lucifer is busy exploring the surgical room Oscar explores a bit further and finds an library sadly almost all the books were damaged by the water dripping from the ceiling but there was one magical scroll that was left intact which Oscar took hoping to harness its knowledge. while in this room Oscar discover light shining from a crack in the wall when Oscar looked in the crack he discovered a room that seemed to be some kind of office having papers and magical lamps on a desk. Oscar didn’t pay this hidden room much mind being more concerned about escaping.
The party meets back together after exploring those two rooms upon which Lucifer finds his companions are having a hard time being able to see in this dungeon so he casts a light on their items allowing them to see a short distance. The party finds a room that is housing robotic parts and giant golems that seem are in pieces but there is one fully intact. The party continues to look for a way out coming across the final room that is host to a large grinder that is in the middle of the room that is rusted with stains of blood and vats of acid across the walls that are labeled “disposal”.
The players finally find a door hoping for escape they open the door which as a tunnel on the other side but right as they open the door a wall drops blocking the path and preventing their escape as this happens the party hears a loud mechanical cry coming from the direction of the room with the robot. When the party look to see what the noise was they see the large iron beast coming towards them as the golem inches closer it knocks into a wall busting a pipe that running across the wall, a tiny bit of liquid sprays on the golem and erodes its metal body. Seeing this the party decides to hide in the room with the giant grinder. the golem chases after them and attacks the party, the party frantically try to escape the room. While his companions are panicking Oscar stays calm and remembers that the golem is weak to acid and casts a spell that conjures a magical hand and rigs one of the vats to release its acid, The golem screams in pain as the acid starts to erode its legs but it becomes enraged and attacks lucifer in the process. While this is happening Cain throws Stitches to safety and out of the room. Lucifer and Oscar also manage to escape the room but Cain is sadly unable to and two others vats bust open damaging the golem and Cain becomes heavily injured. Stitches sees pipes running around the door frame and shoots and eldritch blast at the pipes with remarkable precision, this then forces acid to spray out and melt the golem completely but it also damages Cain rendering him unconscious. Oscar repairs the pipes with the magical scroll he got from the library and Lucifer carries Cain out of the room and heals him of his wounds. After the party takes some time to recover from the hard fought battle Cain and Lucifer work at destroying the wall that separates them from their freedom. Oscar explores the office while waiting and reads the letters on the desk, the letters contents consist of offers to hire the person who owned the lab and the offers were of great sums and also a journal which had all the pages ripped out but the last page which said “I have finally succeeded”.
Eagletree##
The party manages to escape and find themselves in the town of Eagletree. The party discovers that the town has been attacked by the wildlife more often and the animals have been making more coordinated attacks which seems very odd. The party hear that the local hunter has been monitoring the animals so they go and find the hunter to ask about the unusual behavior of the animals. When the players get to his shop he tells them that the animals have been gathering in the forest but he doesn’t know why and he wants their help with going into the forest and helping him find out what the animals have been gathering for. The party heads into the forest with the hunter, while searching the adventurers get attacked by a pack of wolves which nearly kills them even with the help of the hunter. The adventurer’s are exhausted after this battle so they tell the hunter they will continue tomorrow the hunter agrees and stays behind exploring the cave the wolves were in.
The adventurers wake up the next day and decide to stock up on supplies and do some jobs while they wait for the hunter to make a map for the forest. Oscar works at a library that is only a guy with a wagon full of picture books. Lucifer decides to walk around town and helps a lady with her cat which he is given a trinket for. Cain asks the mayor for work which the mayor assigns him paper work the mayor is too lazy to do but the mayor didn’t know that Oscar had a hard time reading which resulting in very bad policies being allowed. Stitches decided to go to a toy maker and get his arm attached which stitches threatens the toy maker to do because he didn’t want to pay, Stitches then proceeded to chant in the language of the demons which scares the toy maker into running into his office and locking the door. Stitches having free reign steals from the cash register and decides to burn the shop down wanting to kill the shop owner.
The adventurers meet at the tavern that night and decide to rest and get the map from the hunter the next day. The party go to the hunters shop and find the hunter overjoyed with the riches found in the wolves cave, he gives them a map of where to find the spot which the animals are gathering. They all here a knock at the door and when they open it they see three guards standing and the guards ask for the hunter. Lucifer asks why the guards are here and they explain that the toy makers shop burned down and that a living teddy bear was the culprit. The party try to protect their friend and deter the guards from searching the shop but the party’s reluctance to let the guards search the shop make the guards more suspicious. The captain starts arguing with the party to let him in this makes Stitches break character and laugh which makes the guards even more suspicious. The party then decide to let the captain inspect Stitches, while inspecting the toy the captain sticks his fingers in Stitches mouth looking for a reaction which he unfortunately got. Stitches eyes light with hells fire and he chants in demonic tongue which melts the face of the guard and makes the other guards panic. After a short conflict the last guard alive runs away and the party is left with two bodies, after the guard witnesses this he demands for the party to leave and tells them if they fix the problem with the animals he would clean up their mess hearing this the party decide to follow the map.
Following this map the adventurers find the meetings spot and fine a mine field of spores and animals circling a young boy. When the party gets a closer look they find that the boys body is half covered in moss and holes that go through his body where the moss is growing almost like that moss is eating his body. Spores are being released from the boy which seems to be controlling the animals and is probably why they are so aggressive yet organized lately.
The adventurers decide to save the boy and take him to an orphanage. Lucifer jumps into the circle the animals made and Oscar casts a spell to make the boy calm. Lucifer grabs the boy and jumps out and uses his powers to heal the boy which eases the pain on the boy. They can’t return to Eagletree so they follow the road hoping to find a village they arrive to Bluebell crest. The party rush the boy to a priest hoping that they could heal him but the wounds are too much and the priest needs skin to graft onto the boy. The party decide to give their skin to help the boy Lucifer taking skin from his chest, Oscar had Stitches take his skin, and Cain taking skin from his back. Their sacrifice worked and the boy was able to live thanks to them and the priest brung him to the orphanage.
